It will be difficult for Sarri to lift the EPL in his first season – legend

Chelsea ex-midfielder, Claude Makelele says it will be difficult for Sarri to lift the EPL in his first season

Two times EPL winner at Chelsea, Claude Makelele in a recent statement disclosed that things have changed under coach Sarri Maurizio at Stamford Bridge.

But he stressed it will be difficult for the Italy international to lift the EPL in his first season in England.

Makelele went on to say it will be hard for the Blues to compete against the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool, who have stronger squads.

The Ex midfielder, however, disclosed that he expects big things from Sarri Maurizio during his stay at Chelsea while supporting that the Italian international will make history.

Sarri Maurizio arrived at Stamford Bridge as a replacement for his fellow countryman, Antonio Conte who had a fall out with the Blues management.

Under the new management of Sarri, Chelsea have kept a 100 per cent win alongside Liverpool and Watford.

The Blues have defeated Huddersfield Town, Arsenal, Newcastle and recently Bournemouth.

And they are expected to have a fifth win as they play against Cardiff City during the weekend.

The EPL is expected to return on the 15th of September after the international holiday.
