Chelsea Don’t Want To Sell Costa To Atletico Again, Here Is Why

Despite that the summer transfer window is approaching an end, Chelsea are yet to resolve Diego Costa’s future.

And in a new development, there are reports that the premier league champions wants him to move to AC Milan instead of Atletico Madrid as they don’t want him to remain on their logs until January.

Despite being strongly linked with a move back to his former Spanish club for much of this summer, it appears the deal has been paused, with the Madrid club still serving a transfer ban that hinders them from registering new players until January.

And just yesterday, the club’s boss Diego Simeone dropped some hints that a move for Diego is no longer in view this summer, but till January.

However, it is understood that Chelsea does not want Costa to remain at Stamford Bridge for the first half of the season after their Italian manager Antonio Conte made it known that the Spaniard is no longer in his plans.

Chelsea have brought in former Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata to replace the 28-year-old, and Italian news outlet Calciomercato reported that the blues are now hoping Costa will choose to move to AC Milan instead.

Recently, it was made known that the player’s agent Jorge Mendes had held talks with the Milan club, even though the player himself had indicated that a move to Atletico Madrid is what he desires.
