The Agent of unsettled Arsenal striker Lucas Perez has confirmed that he is in talks with Turkish club Fenerbahce over a proposed transfer for his client this summer transfer window. The Spaniard had a difficult introduction to Premier League football last season as he managed just two starts.

Perez, 28, has already declared his intention to pursue a fresh challenge away from Arsenal as he feels ‘cheated’ by the limited chances last campaign.

His representative, Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle had traveled to London during last weekend’s Emirates Cup to sort out the Striker’s future, and he has now declared that Fenerbahce are leading the chase.

The Turkish club were initially hoping to pursue a loan deal for Perez, but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has blocked their attempt to push for a permanent sale.

His former club Deportivo have already made an initial offer for Perez, but they are nowhere close to matching Arsenal’s £13.4m valuation. As a result, Fenerbahce has emerged as favourites for the attacker with the Financial Fair Play ruling no longer an issue.

Perez managed just 21 matches across all competitions for Arsenal last season, and a transfer to the Istanbul outfit could enhance his chances of earning a Spain call-up ahead of next year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
