Liverpool transfer news: Juventus turn attention to Liverpool Emre Can

Premier League club Liverpool are preparing themselves for an offer from Serie A Champions Juventus for Emre Can, as the Serie A giant eye up several midfielders across Europe.

Juventus have also been linked with Chelsea’s unsettled midfielder Nemanja Matic, with a move to Manchester United still possibly on the cards for the Serbian. The Serie A team have once again shown interest in signing Can, and are believed to have tabled a bid of about 25 million euros for the midfielder, according to Tuttosport.

Can’s Liverpool contract will run out in the summer of 2018, and the Liverpool boss is confident he will put pen to paper for a new deal. On the contrary, Liverpool are thought to be willing to sell, to cash in against losing him for free when his contract end.

Should a new contract be tabled, Can would expect to see a long term contract, and pay rise, given he’s a prominent part of the squad.

The versatile Can’s best position has not yet been cemented, and finding that could again lead to a huge strides forward in his development.

The 23-year-old played 32 Premier League matches last season, scoring five goals and providing two assists from the midfield.
