According to reports, the relationship between Anthony Martial with manager Jose Mourinho at Manchester United has reached an all-time low in recent weeks.
Prior to the red devils 1-1 draw with Stoke City (a match Martial missed despite being fully fit), it was reported that he was so disappointed with his lack of game time at the Old Trafford club.
Once again, the Frenchman was omitted from the squad ahead of Manchester United’s League Cup semi-final clash with Hull City on Thursday, which pushed many of us into questioning his role under Jose Mourinho.
However, James Gheerbrant of The Times insisted that the youngster is unhappy with coach Mourinho for publicly criticising him for missing an opportunity to impress in games against Hull and Liverpool.
On the contrary, Sky Sports have reported that, despite all stuffs being said about Martial at Old Trafford, the player is happy at Manchester United and doesn’t want to leave.
Nevertheless, irrespective of everything, fans and supporters have another opportunity to gain a clearer overview of the Martial saga during Man United’s game against Wigan Athletic on Sunday.
The Portuguese tactician has already confirmed that Martial will receive a chance to start. He also noted that a “magnificent” performance would see the Frenchman re-assert himself on the starting XI.
