According to reports, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed that Chelsea youngster Kyle Scott and Ethan Ampadu could be handed a chance to impress after confirming that France international N’Golo Kante is likely to be out of action for around three weeks.
The former Leicester midfielder was substituted during France’s 1-0 win over Bulgaria last weekend after sustaining a hamstring injury.
Antonio Conte says that the defensive midfielder needs to undergo another scan to address the problem but initial tests results suggest that he will be out of action for the remainder of October.
Chelsea face six matches in 17 days starting against Crystal Palace, a run which includes and a two-legged fixture against AS Roma in the UEFA Champions League. Should the initial scan result regarding the midfielder prove accurate, he will miss the rest of the month of October schedule and would be hoping to be fit enough for the visit of rivals Manchester United to Stamford Bridge on November 5.
Antonio Conte will call upon Spaniard Cesc Fabregas and Frenchman Tiemoue Bakayoko when the Blues visit Crystal Palace on Saturday.
