Arsenal are getting set for the Carabao Cup final against Premier League table toppers Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon, but transfer rumour regarding them hasn’t stopped.
Arsenal want silverware
Arsenal will be keen on landing their best opportunity of silverware this campaign against Pep Guardiola’s team, with goalkeeper David Ospina, set to begin the match against Manchester City.
It has been a frustrating season for the 29-year-old before this weekend though, as he has had to deal with just 12 matches across all competitions.
Backup role
With legendary goalkeeper Petr Cech first choice safe hand for the French tactician, David Ospina has had to settle for a deputy role in the Carabao cup, and he has now dropped a major hint that he may not be prepared to settle for much longer.
That is not the only issue facing the Gunners either, as The Times suggest that there is a growing worry on the side that they will see Aaron Ramsey play hard to get over his new deal.
The Wales international will see his current deal run out next summer transfer window, and it’s suggested he will delay penning a new deal in order to try and push the Gunners to offer him a huge contract to avoid seeing him go for nothing.
