Arsenal to face another battle for Nigerian starlet

North London outfit Arsenal will now face another challenge from Stoke City for the signature of Nigerian International Joe Aribo ahead of the summer transfer window.

It is confirmed that Joe Aribo has played his last match for Charlton Athletic on Sunday against Sunderland in a championship playoff because of his decision to leave the club.

Joe Aribo had refused to sign a new contract with the club after informing them of his decision to end their four years relationship.

This made Arsenal and Stoke City head in a fight for his signature after watching him impressed and giving a display of his quality and potential he has got to make a good future.

However, the North London outfit where initially in the race against Man City, while there were other interests from clubs in Scotland, France, Portugal and Germany.

With Joe Aribo already having a glimpse of the English Premier League, he could give better consideration to Arsenal and Stoke City and that could be helpful in giving the North London outfit the edge.

Howbeit, all suitors will have to wait until the summer transfer window for a decision to be made by the player himself but there is no doubt that he will settle for a first-team football and a regular playing time.
