If the reports are right, it looks like Arsene Wenger’s comments denying a new offer for the player might be an attempt to manage the expectations of fans.
Seem fans are expecting Lemar to join in the next couple of transfer windows, so it’s probably a smart idea not to fuel that transfer speculation before any deal is agreed with either club.
Whichever way, Thomas Lemar didn’t do his valuation many favours against Besiktas last week, as he was forced off injured in the 26th moment. As per reports, Thomas Lemar could be sidelined for up to a month.
It’s a massive shame because the French star was just beginning to hit form for the French Ligue 1 team.
In his previous match, Lemar scored his first goal of the season and had made an assist a week before.
