“We need him at Old Trafford” – Man United set to ‘cough out’ £53m for exciting Brazilian

According to reports, Manchester United are set to splash £53million to land Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Man United keen on Fred

Metro is claiming that United have been strongly linked with a swoop for the Brazilian recently but could now complete the deal.

The same article states that rivals Manchester City have also been closely monitoring the 25-year-old recently as he continues to be connected with a transfer away from the Ukrainian outfit.

As per the same article, Fred himself is now reportedly “dragging his heels” over a move to Manchester United and that French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain could be ready to make a late transfer move to try and land him.

Impressive South American

The South American has been in good form this campaign, netting two goals and providing one assist across all competitions for his current side.

The Red Devils are prepared to be heavily linked with a number of top players this summer transfer window as they look to recruit some major reinforcement ahead of next year.

Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho will be keen to strengthen his team as he looks to build a formidable squad capable of challenging rivals Manchester City’s dominance at the apex of the English Premier League next term.
