Leicester City star player Danny Drinkwater has been linked with Chelsea and is expected to leave Leicester City before the transfer window closes next week.
Right now, there are reports that Premier League champions are increasingly confident of getting the player’s signature and are preparing to raise their bid for him to £32million.
Chelsea have already seen an initial £25m offer for the Englishman rejected by his club after being valued at £40m by the foxes.
Drinkwater is understood to be keen on joining Chelsea and his club are not going to hinder him from making a move should there be a reasonable offer.
The England international signed a long-term deal 18 months ago with the foxes, and Leicester City are under no pressure to sell him.
But they accept how Chelsea can’t be ignored due to their influence, and the Sun are reporting that Chelsea will submit a new £32m bid for the midfielder this week.
It was also said that the foxes are very much likely to accept the new offer as they will use the fund to bring in other players before the end of the transfer window.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has told the club’s management to bring in as many as four new players before the transfer window closes next week Thursday.
