Chelsea manager indicates where unsettled forward will be next season amid increasing transfer rumour

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has said that striker Alvaro Morata will not leave the club in this summer following links with Serie A giants Juventus.

The Italian told the Spaniard he should be getting ready for next campaign with Chelsea after making a tough start to life at West London.

Big-name striker

The Spain international striker arrived from La Liga giants Real Madrid but hasn’t lived up to expectation at all with only 15 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions for the Blues.

It is, therefore, crystal clear to hear talks that the 25-year-old striker could make a quick departure from Stamford Bridge, with the Sun recently suggesting he was desperate to return to his former club Juventus, who also want him back.

Conte wants striker at Stamford Bridge next season

The 2017 Premier League champions may want to hand their record signing  more time to settle down and develop, and it looks like manager Antonio seems Conte has tried to play down talk of his departure with his comment

The Italian was quoted by Goal, ‘(Alvaro) Morata is Chelsea’s footballer, he (Morata) must be prepared to play tomorrow (Wednesday) and next season.

It remains to be viewed if this will be a wise decision, with the former Real Madrid striker clearly struggling with first-choice selection for a top side for the first time in his playing career, having done pretty well as more of a regular starter at both Juventus and Real Madrid.
