Chelsea fans were thrilled with Callum Hudson-Odoi’s display against Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday as the youngster was all over the pitch throughout the encounter.

All his passes were purposeful, his runs with the ball is a show of his quality, while his ability to make untiring runs to the back to help the defenders speak volume of his determination to help the Blues achieve great heights.

The highlight of his display in yesterday’s FA Cup tie with the Championship side was the way he scored his only goal of the game.

He masterfully controlled an eagle-eyed pass from Willian before unleashing an unstoppable shot pass Sheffield Wednesday’s goalkeeper.

Having witnessed such an impressive and eye-catching display from the youngster, Chelsea fans couldn’t help but shout at the top of their voices: “We want you to stay”.

Expectedly, it wasn’t just the fans who want the 18-year-old to remain in Stamford Bridge beyond this season, Chelsea assistant manager Gianfranco Zola is also hoping the youngster continue his development under Maurizio Sarri.

According to Zola, the coaching crew are hoping to have the player around beyond January because there are many things he can do to help the team.

“We want him to stay as well – we were singing it as well,”

“He has a contract and we believe in what he can do for this team. I don’t think there are many 18-year-old players around Europe that are playing as much in such a big team,” he said to Sky Sports website.

Hudson-Odoi is closer to completing his move to Bayern Munich after rejecting a new offer from the Blues last week.

It is believed that the England youth international will cost the Bavarians £40m and Niko Kovac is more than ready to release such fund for his signature.
