France international defender Laurent Koscielny is a new injury doubt after missing out training with the National team.
The centre-half is a major doubt for France’s match against World Champions Germany on Tuesday evening.
As per Sport Witness, the France international is currently suffering from tendinitis in his achilles and could not take part in his country’s recent training session.
Laurent Koscielny has a long-standing problem with his Achilles, and it was disclosed back in May that it must be properly managed for the remainder of his playing career.
The injury flared up earlier this campaign and prevented him from October FIFA international break and the 2-0 win over Premier League newcomers Brighton.
With his National team only playing friendly matches, it only makes sense to send the defender back to the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal will be concerned about his health, as they will need the Frenchman for this weekend’s first North London Derby of the new season.
The Gunners faced a shortage of central defenders against Premier League leaders Manchester City, where France defender Francis Coquelin was forced to feature together in defence.
Arsenal are expected to have back a couple of other potential defenders, including German Shkodran Mustafi and Englishman Calum Chambers. English man Rob Holding and German Per Mertesacker should have recovered from minor injuries.
