Spanish duo set to battle Chelsea in race to land £28million-rated former Blue

Premier League Champions Chelsea could be set to do battle with La Liga duo Atletico and Sevilla for Borussia Monchengladbach player Thorgan Hazard.

This is as per the Sun, who are claiming that Chelsea have shown interest in the starlet and that they have reports that both Atletico and Sevilla are closely watching the player.

The Sun are also claiming that the Belgium international is rated £28million by the German side, so it’ll be interesting to view if all the teams eventually do battle for the 24-year-old attacker.

Superb form in Germany

So far this season, the youngster has been in good form for the German outfit, with the player netting eight and providing 27 assists across all competitions.

Hazard’s total record for the Bundesliga team is also impressive, with the attacking midfielder having netted 30 goals and assisted 31 goals in 137 matches.

During his spell at Stamford Bridge, he failed to make a meaningful impact for Chelsea, with the 24-year-old attacker only making one Under 23 appearances for the Blues before being offloaded.

One of the major focus points for the player is his versatility, with the attacker showing over time that he is able to play in numerous positions in both midfield and attack.
