Why United will no longer have Tottenham’s Pochettino

English Premier League outfit Manchester United are reported to be suitors of Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino but they might not land him anymore because of the interest already indicated by West London side Chelsea.

The need for Mauricio Pochettino at the Old Trafford came after the sack of Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho sometimes in December last year.

A number of replacements have been lined up for the Portuguese boss with former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, former Real Madrid boss Antonio Conte and the Tottenham boss.

Mauricio Pochettino was tipped to land the job because of his availability and his feat with Tottenham by making them title contenders as well as qualifying for the Champions League ahead of Arsenal in two consecutive years.

However, the call seems to have been sounded from the Stamford Bridge for Mauricio Pochettino as a result of the doubt over the future of Italian manager Maurizio Sarri the club.

The humiliation suffered against Bournemouth in the cause of last week placed the Italian boss’ job under threat as their Champions League hopes were cut short.

Meanwhile, it is unsure the stand of the Tottenham boss on the reported move away from the club as he might not be willing to part ways with the North London side.
