Following the call from Manchester United to their former player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the vacant job at the Old Trafford, he was asked by his former club Molde not to return.

The Red Devils had to reach out to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to pick up the job at the Old Trafford after sacking Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho in December 2018.

Mourinho failed to motivate the players in addition to not having the ability to deliver good results.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that he has the blessing of his former club when the call came from United and he was told to leave and not return.

According to the report, Molde owner Kjell Inge Rokke, a co-owner told him to enjoy himself and not return.

Meanwhile, it is not clear what the future holds for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the Old Trafford with the United management still on the lookout for a manager permanently.

Although, he has indicated his interest to pick up the job on a permanent basis if handed the opportunity as he does not hope to return to his former side.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has impressed since taking over the job. He is yet to see any defeat since December.
