According to latest reports, Manchester United player Memphis Depay is now a target for several Ligue 1 clubs.
The Sun recently reported that both Lyon and Nice are interested in signing the winger. They additionally added that the player will be available at a fraction of the £30m that Manchester United bought him for two summers ago.
Though Depay got some reputation for himself off the pitch as he is widely known for driving only the flashiest cars and attending the most lavish events, he is nevertheless and unfortunately regarded as a disaster on the pitch.
Even though he showed some impressiveness in some early games under Louis Van Gaal, he eventually lost his place in the team. And when Jose Mourinho collected the mantle of leadership in Manchester United, the Dutchman has been barely featured under the Portuguese boss.
If Depay should move to Nice, he would link up with Italian Mario Balotelli. Balotelli was of course another former Premier League playboy who lost the way.
Lyon are also interested in him. They are known to be usually very shrewd in the transfer market and clearly think they can get their man at a bargain after months of not playing in the first team.
