Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen is delighted to sign a fresh long-term deal with the reigning Premier League champions

The talented young defender has penned a four-and-a-half contract with the Blues on Tuesday.

The Danish international defender has impressed for the Stamford Bridge outfit in the 2017-18  League season after his return to the West London club last summer.

The youngster spent two terms on loan at German Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach where he performed pretty well as a key figure of the German side.

The 21-year-old Dane has managed to replace UEFA Champions League winner David Luiz as a first team regular in Antonio Conte’s team.

Indeed, the centre-half has played 16 matches in the English Premier League this campaign to help Chelsea climb up to third position on the log.

Andreas Christensen spoke about his future targets after he signed his fresh long-term deal with the west London club.

The former Champions League winners won the English Premier League title last season with two matches to spare after they finished seven points ahead of second-placed North London club Tottenham on the log.

The reigning Premier League champions secured the signature of Germany international defender Antonio Rudiger in a £32milllion move from Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma in the summer.
