Chelsea striker Diego Costa has agreed a summer deal to join Chinese club Tianjian Quanjian, according to reports.
The Blues forward has been linked with a move away from the Stamford Bridge following reports that he is frustrated at the harsh officiating by referees in the Premier League. Last summer window, there were reports that the 28-year-old met with his former club, Atletico Madrid which fell through due to the resilience of the Blues to keep their star player and Costa also confirmed that he ‘did all I could’ to return to Spanish La Liga.
Earlier this week, there were pictures of Diego Costa met with four businessmen alongside Jorge Mendes at a London restaurant with indications that a potential deal to China was discussed.
During the last January window, it emerged that Chinese billionaire Shui Yuhui met with the Spaniard’s agent to thrash a potential deal and is now ready to offer him €30 million. The Chinese billionaire also confirmed that the club have retained their interest in Diego Costa
Although, there are indications that both parties will still need to finalize some procedures at the end of the season after Costa signed a pre-contract with the Chinese club.
It is understood that Blues are also preparing for life without Costa and have identified several targets to replace him next season.
