Benfica defender Victor Lindelof has arrived Manchester United’s training ground in Carrington for his medical ahead of his proposed £30million move.
The Swede has been heavily linked with a move to United since last winter window with reports that Jose Mourinho contacted the defender since January about the possibility of joining the Red Devils which the player agreed but Benfica were not ready to allow him to leave until this summer.
Lindelof has been a key figure for the Portuguese giants with his solid displays and ability to create a play from the back.
Manchester United on Monday confirmed to have agreed on a deal for the 22-year-old which was subject to medical. The defender has now bee spotted at AON complex in Carrington as he arrived in red Chevrolet to complete his move to United.
The Red Devils are expected to announce the deal soon and it might mean the end of the United stay for the likes of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling , both of whom have come under intense criticism from their manager Jose Mourinho.
It is understood that Mourinho wants Lindelof to pair Eric Bailly in the central defence next season after getting frustrated at the lack of nerves on the part of his defenders during their last campaign.
