Sarri Makes ‘SHOCKING’ Selection Decision Ahead Of Arsenal Clash

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has decided to keep Ruben Loftus-Cheek at Chelsea despite reports that the midfielder could be on his way out of the club.

Reports in The Telegraph claim that the Blues have guaranteed Loftus-Cheek a place in the first team if he can force his way up the ladder.

The 22-year-old midfielder was part of the English team that surprised many with their performances at the World Cup and even cut short his extended holiday in order to prove himself to new Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri.

However, Loftus-Cheek has been heavily tipped to leave Chelsea this summer, with likelihood of joining a club abroad following the end of transfer business in England.

Loftus-Cheek who has rejected a move to the German Bundesliga with Schalke, is set to fight for his place at Chelsea, but will have to battle the likes of  Jorginho, Cesc Fabregas, N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Ross Barley for a place in the midfield area.

Speaking about the midfielder earlier this summer, Sarri identified the youngster’s great potentials but refused to rule out a loan move for Loftus-Cheek but it appears the Italian has changed his mind about sending the player out for gain more experience coupled with the departure of Tiemoue Bakayoko to AC Milan on a season-long loan.
