Former Manchester United star and Dutchman Robin Van Persie has offered to help Tottenham striker refine his game so that he could become a success with his North London side.

22-year old Dutch striker Janssen sealed an £18m move to White Hart Lane from former Dutch Eredivisie champions AZ Alkmaar however he has struggled to make his mark. He has weighed in with just three goals, all from the penalty spot, in 993 minutes of football across 20 matches in all competitions.

Speaking with Dutch publication AD as quoted by Football Oranje, Van Persie, who joined his current Turkish side, Fenerbahce, during the summer of 2015 said: “If I see Vincent Janssen play, I think, a really good striker.”

“He’s done really good in Orange. But I also see things in his game that I think I could help him.

Details, small notes and tips. If Vincent is open to it, of course, the way that time between Ruud van Nistelrooy and me went. I myself have long played in the Premier League for eleven years. In the process, I could play a good role, I think.” he concluded.

Robin Van Persie is widely regarded by many Manchester United fans as the catalyst for their last league title in the 2012/13 season as he scored 26 goals enroute.
