Star Player leaves camp amid Arsenal, Chelsea link

Arsenal target Riyad Mahrez is considering bids from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Premier League Champions Chelsea, but La Liga runners up FC Barcelona have increased their efforts to lure the Leicester City attacker to the King Power Stadium before the summer transfer window closes on Thursday night.

The winger, who shone like million stars 2 seasons ago, when Leicester shockingly won the Premier League has been given permitted by Algeria’s Football Federation to leave the team’s training camp to seal his move from Leicester City.

In a press statement made available on Wednesday evening, Algeria’s FA said that Arsenal target will fly back to Europe ahead of his Country’s FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia this weekend but did not disclose the club he will join.

According to AS, Premier League rivals Chelsea and Arsenal have tabled offers to the African but Spanish La Liga giant FC Barcelona have ‘speed up’ their interest ahead of their summer transfer deadline on Friday.

FC Barcelona have told Mahrez’s representatives that he will only sign the Algerian if they fail to bring Brazilian Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool.

The same Publication claim that the Algerian international midfielder knows that he is Barcelona’s second option but is desperate to move to Camp Nou.
