‘Not a good fit’ – Liverpool transfer target heading on loan

According to Spanish media reports, FC Barcelona are set to loan Yerry Mina to La Liga side Real Betis.

Colombian linked with Liverpool move

The Colombian defender, who has been heavily linked with the Reds, will be permitted to leave on a temporarily next season with Real Betis his likely destination, as per Don Balon.

The 23-year-old, started for the Catalan side in last night’s 5-4 loss at Levante – Barcelona’s first league loss of the campaign. It was only the defender’s third start for the La Liga Champions since he joined for f £10.5m in the winter transfer window from Brazilian club Palmeiras and he looked confused alongside Spain international defender Gerard Pique at centre-back as the Spanish champion’s conceded five goals.

Real Betis leading race

Real Betis, who offloaded Dani Ceballos to Barcelona last summer window, are hoping to bring in Mina and partner the South American with Marc Bartra.

It was suggested Liverpool were leading the race to sign the Centre-half on loan in the summer transfer window.

As per reports, Barcelona want the 23-year-old to gather some experience in Europe and that Champions League finalist Liverpool will be his next destination.

The defender who has a buyout clause of €100m, played 33 matches for Palmeiras after signing for the Brazilian club back in in 2016.
