Not Fabregas – Another Chelsea Star Set To Leave Stamford Bridge This Summer

Antonio Conte is understood to be set for a major reshuffle in his squad ahead of a busy campaign next season.

The Italian boss is expected to bring in a handful of superb stars during the summer transfer window, and as expected, some of his current members are leaving too.

One of the Chelsea stars that have been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge is Serbian star, Nemanja Matic. And the Daily Mail are reporting that the midfielder is keen on making a move to Manchester United this summer after keeping in touch with his former manager Jose Mourinho.

It is understood that the defensive midfielder failed to secure a move away from Chelsea the last term but now feels the time is right to move on from West London, and his main aim is to reunite with Jose Mourinho at Manchester.

When Mourinho was still boss at Chelsea, he re-signed Matic for the Blues back in 2014 and it is understood Matic’s representatives have kept in touch with Jose since he left Stamford Bridge.

And it is being said that the Portuguese boss has made the signing of Matic one of his top priorities this summer.

Even though Serie A champions Juventus are also said to be interested in signing Matic, Man United remain favourites to get his signature due to the better wages they could offer and Jose Mourinho’s influence.

However, it remains to be seen if Chelsea will sell the player to a domestic rival or tie him down to a new contract.
