No more Arsenal move for £25m-rated star player

English Premier League side Arsenal will no longer have the signature of German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund star Julian Weigl in the coming winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.

This is after reports claim Julian Weigl has decided to remain with his Borussia Dortmund side and will not seek a move away anymore.

It was earlier thought that the Gunners will land the highly rated midfielder as they are set to depart with Aaron Ramsey at the end of the season and with Egypt international Mohamed Elneny pushing for a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

Julian Weigl is one of the best midfielders in the German Bundesliga and has been impressive so far this season which makes the North London side seek for his service.

It was reported that Gunners boss Unai Emery is ready to pay big for the star player so as to beat competition from AS Roma, Milan, and Manchester City as they are also interested in his signature.

The 23-year-old has got a contract with the German side until 2021 with a release clause of £25 million but from latest development, Julian Weigl will not be moving anywhere which means his release clause cannot be tampered with.
