Mourinho still not happy with these players despite Newcastle

The win for Manchester United against Newcastle is not enough to make manager Jose Mourinho happy due to what he described as “sad” performance by Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay.

Although it is expected that Mourinho be relieved after his side recorded a late win in an all-important game for his career.

The manager was earlier reported to be facing the sack if he had not won the game but that was dismissed by the club owners by making it clear that the Portuguese manager’s job is safe.

However, there was still a need for Mourinho to win the game to relieve him of the weeks-long pressure.

In his reaction after the game, he criticized Rashford who started from the left-hand side for not having good pace and missing two chances that would have avoided the pressure at the beginning of the game.

The former Chelsea boss also noted that MCTominay was scared on the pitch and could not play his game.

Although, pundits can attest to the fact that the entire United team showed lack of confidence and fear in the first half without any forceful push until they returned for the second half.

Rashford has been tipped to be a regular at United following his performance in the last international break for the England national team.
