Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has handed Arsenal a massive boost by committing his future to the London club. The Spanish right back has signed a six year deal worth around 30 million pounds which has made him one of the highest paid players in the club. The deal will see Bellerin earn more than 100,000 pounds a week which will see him receive more than 30 million pounds including bonuses with add-ons.
Recently, Bellerin had revealed how happy he has been at the Emirates and is focused on improving and becoming a better player at the club and has now shown his commitment to the club by signing a new deal with the gunners.
The Spanish defender has been in outstanding form for Arsenal this season and has helped them to remain unbeaten since the opening premier league loss to Liverpool. Bellerin joined Arsenal as a teenager in 2011 and still had about three years left on his contract.
There had been rumours that he was set for a move away from the Emirates. The 21- year old had been strongly linked to a move back to his former club Barcelona where he started his career but had come out to squash those rumours stating how happy is to be at Arsenal .
This is fantastic news for Arsenal as apart from dealing with rumours of Bellerin returning to Barcelona they also had to deal with interest from Manchester City. Pep Guardiola was very interested in the young player and hoped that their Barcelona connections would have helped in luring the defender to Manchester City but now that does not seem possible with Bellerin’s new Arsenal deal.
