Manchester United Told To Pay $65m For This Top Summer Target

Man Utd told they can sign top target if they meet his £50m release clauseManchester United have been informed that they will need to pay around £50million to sign Benfica defender Victor Lindelof next summer, according to reports.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to the Old Trafford since the last January transfer window, and recent reports have it that they are back in for his signature having failed to sign him during the winter as Jose Mourinho remains keen on bringing the Swede to the Old Trafford.

It is understood that injured United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has also told Mourinho that he should sign Lindelof because he believes in the young defender’s attributes coupled with his ability to play at centre-back and right full back positions.

Reports in Daily Mirror claims that Manchester United will hoping to lure the defender to the club next summer but will reluctant in meeting Benfica’s valuation of the player.

There are suggestions that Mourinho have started negotiations with Benfica but the Portuguese giants have made it clear that they will not be letting the player leave easily.

Lindelof is said to be keen on moving to the Old Trafford next summer because of his Swedish idol, Ibrahimovic and his love to play under a manager like Jose Mourinho. Chelsea were also credited with his interest during the last January window but there have not been reports on whether the Blues still want him or not.
