As per ESPN, German Bundesliga side Bayern Munich are prepared to make a winter move for Alexis Sanchez once the winter transfer market opens in January.
The transfer saga of Chilean international forward Sanchez was one of the biggest talking points of the summer, with top European heavyweights like Bayern Munich, Chelsea, PSG, Manchester City and Manchester United having showing interest in the 28-year-old attacker.
A transfer deadline day switch to the Etihad Stadium to link up with former manager Pep Guardiola was imminent over the final transfer days of the window, but the move eventually fell through when the Gunners were unable to sign France international Thomas Lemar from AS Monaco.
Along with Manchester City, the leading contender for the Chilean this summer window was Bundesliga side Bayern Munich.
Links between Bayern and Sanchez were prevalent early in the summer transfer window, though such speculation died down when Arsenal reportedly stood firm on their huge valuation, despite Alexis Sanchez having just 12 months remaining on his deal at the Emirates.
However, according to the latest report from Mark Lovell, the Bundesliga champions have not yet lost hope of signing the South American and will rekindle their efforts with a new bid in January.
Bayern Munich are prepared to add to their attacking options out wide, with both experienced wingers Franck Ribery and Dutchman Arjen Robben entering the latter years of their respective playing careers.
