Manchester United Ready To Beat League Rivals To Signing The ‘Next John Stones’

Manchester United are monitoring the transfer situation of Dutch whiz kid Melayro Bogarde, according to reports.

The 15-year-old has drawn interest from a couple of clubs in Europe due to his solid composure and impressive skills at a tender age. The defender who plies trade with Feyenoord is a free agent until next May.

Reports in the Guardian have it that the Red Devils are ready to beat competition from league rivals, Chelsea who have also indicated their interest in signing Borgarde.

The report also claims that both clubs are expected to send scouts to watch the defender at the Under-17 tournament in the Netherlands, with a suggestion that Red Devils scout Henny de Regt have watched the youngster’s ball-playing skills on several occasions and have sent positive reports to the hierarchy at Old Trafford.

Liverpool and Manchester City are also said to be considering a swoop for the highly-rated teenage star.

Manchester United already have few faces of Dutch stars in their current squad with the likes of Daley Blind and Timothy Fosu-Mensah in the senior team while Academy youngster Tahith Chong could also offer Borgarde some advice on joining United.
