The winter transfer window is finally here, and Liverpool have been linked with numerous superb players.
Right now, West Ham star player Manuel Lanzini is in the limelight as far as Liverpool’s transfers are concerned.
Last August, there were widespread claims that Jurgen Klopp’s side are ready to sign Lanzini to replace bound-to-depart Phillipe Coutinho.
Coutinho is getting closer to completing a move to Barcelona this month, and it appears Jurgen Klopp can no longer stop the Brazilian from leaving his side.
Recently, the Sun are reporting that manager Jurgen Klopp has identified Manuel as a player who has what it takes to replace Coutinho at Anfield.
However, many Liverpool fans are not embracing the idea of bringing the South American player to Merseyside to replace Philippe. Lanzini has been terrific for West Ham, but he isn’t actually that kind of player that can play for a big club like Liverpool.
The Argentine is a versatile player who can effectively play as an attacking midfielder and as a central midfielder.
This season so far in 15 games for the Hammers in all competitions, the 24-year-old has only scored a goal but has provided seven assists to his teammates.
His current contract will expire in 2020 and he is expected to cost over £40M.
