Manchester United are confident of sealing a stunning move for Chelsea midfielder, Nemanja Matic, according to reports.
The deal is set to go on after the weeks of speculations over the future of Serbian midfielder at Stamford Bridge.
The Red Devils have been tipped to make a move for the 28-year-old in recent weeks with reports that Jose Mourinho is eyeing a midfield trio of Matic, Herrera and Pogba next season.
Juventus and Inter Milan are also said to be interested in the midfielder but are unwilling to meet Chelsea’s transfer asking price despite agreeing with personal terms with the player.
Matic has been left of the Blues’ preseason tour of Asia in order to fix issues surrounding his future but it is understood that the Premier League champions will prefer a move outside England.
However, reports in the Independent claims that Manchester United have renewed confidence about sealing a move for the player after latest developments about a potential transfer move.
Nemanja Matic has been a key figure for Chelsea since he returned to the Stamford Bridge during Mourinho’s second stint with the club and was even instrumental to their title-winning campaign in the Premier League last season, but the arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko might have signalled the end of the road for the midfielder.
