Liverpool intensify interest in Lazio striker, send scout to monitor him

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly done with signing and releasing of players at the ongoing transfer market, however, he’s now planning for the next summer transfer window.

Winning this year’s Premier League glory isn’t tied to the number of incoming players this month because the Reds have many players who are in top form and are willing to play their part in their title-chasing mission.

As part of his preparation ahead of next season, Jurgen Klopp has reportedly sent his scout to Serie A so as to run the rule over Lazio striker Ciro Immobile in Sunday’s clash with Napoli.

The Reds and other Premier League clubs have been a longterm admirer of the 28-year-old striker but Lazio were able to prevent Immobile from leaving the Estadio Olimpico stadium.

The Serie A club didn’t just prevent him from leaving, they were able to make him sign a long-term contract in October and he’s expected to stay with them until 2023 unless Liverpool are willing to trigger his release clause of over £100m.

Immobile is a great striker who can score goals at ease and with both legs. He has scored 62 goals in 98 appearances for the Biancocelesti and his assists so far is another reason why the Reds are very much keen on his services.

Irrespective of his huge release clause, Klopp has his eyes on the 35-cap Italian international and he reportedly willing to do everything to capture his services next summer.
