Emerging reports revealed that Manchester United have now given up on keeping goalkeeper David De Gea and have already agreed on a replacement for him.

The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper has refused to extend his stay at the Old Trafford as he is reportedly tired of working under manager Jose Mourinho in addition to the fact that the hope of United winning a silverware this season or qualification for next year’s Champions League is slim.

The Red Devils were initially ready to force De Gea for to stay for another year by activating a clause in his contract but that will no longer happen from all indications as they are already planning on replacing him.

Latest report reveals that the Portuguese manager has identified Everton star Jordan Pickford who is also known to the management and they could move in for a deal in the January transfer window.

According to the reports, a final decision has been made on Jordan Pickford with the management agreeing that he should be approached ahead of the transfer market which reopens in coming weeks.

Meanwhile, De Gea could be on his way to Italian giants Juventus as they seek to strengthen the goalkeeping department with a world class keeper who can do better than Wojciech Szczesny.
