Liverpool and Arsenal to sanction deal for box-to-box midfielder

Liverpool, Arsenal catch fancy in Max Meyer.

German club, Schalke player,  Max Meyer is now a free agent, this comes after his contract with the club lapsed at the beginning of July.

And as the normal custom of Schalke, the club didn’t give him a chance to renew his contract.

Max Meyer had spent virtually is younger years at Schalke.

This latest information may have spurred Liverpool to take action over Meyer, who is yet to find a new club to play for.

The Red are hoping to sign him and add him to the midfield after a deal with Napoli’s Fabil Nekir didn’t materialize.

Klopp led Liverpool squad to the finals of the Champions League and has strengthened the team as it has managed to make it to the top four on the English premier league table and also came second in the last UEFA Champions League.

They wouldn’t want another chance to slip them off.

Apart from Liverpool, Arsenal FC have also shown interest in Max Meyer but the Reds seems to be the most serious.

Going by the record,  Meyer had a total of 18 goals and 12 Assists in his 41 appearances for Schalke.

He later played in the U19 where he had 21 goals in 34 matches.

And finally joined Schalke first team in 2013 with 22 goals and 24 assist in his 192 appearances for the club.
