Chelsea signed Ross Barkey for £15 million during the leadership of Antonio Conte but the midfielder was not fully utilized under the former coach.

He played against Arsenal, Huddersfield, and played a full 90 minutes match against Liverpool and PAOK in the Carabao League and UEL respectively.

The England International in a recent statement applauded Maurizio Sarri especially on how he has helped him to improve better.

Ross Barkley went on to shade former coach Antonio Conte and other coaches he has trained under by disclosing that he would have been a better player if he had a coach like Maurizio Sarri when he was younger.

He hinted that Sarri has helped him to be a tactical player and he now understands playing different football tactics.
