This star player gives Emery condition for stay

Emiliano Martinez has told manager Unai Emery that he will not be staying at the North Lindon outfit if he cannot be guaranteed a place in the team to challenge Bernd Leno.

The chances for Emiliano Martinez at the Emirates Stadium became very slim at the Emirates Stadium when manager Unai Emery decided to bring in Bernd Leno as it became an option between the new recruit and legendary goalkeeper Petrarch for the goal post.

Now, the legendary goalkeeper has announced his decision to quit professional football for retirement which leaves a space in the team and Emiliano Martinez feels he should occupy it rather than having another challenge from new signing.

Emiliano Martinez is currently having a loan spell at Reading where he is impressing, hence he feels it is time to have a first-team football to kick start his career again.

He noted that he is in love with the Arsenal team and he feels he has a future there but that will not be out under consideration if he cannot be trusted by the Spanish manager as he stressed that he can be Arsenal’s first choice.

Emiliano Martinez noted that a number of persons now feels he would be a second choice stopper after Petr Cech leaves but he is not sure of the plans by manager Unai Emery which means they will have to sit over it for talks.
