ESPN is claiming that Liverpool are closing in on a transfer deal to sign the 20-year-old midfielder after he was not handed a new contract at Chelsea.

His current deal is due to run out this summer transfer window and the Reds are allegedly set to make him a bid to move to Anfield Stadium ahead of next term.

As per the same article, the Reds took Christie-Davies on trial in March and that was enough to convince the midfielder that a move to Liverpool is a good decision.

The same report states that Christie-Davies is likely to join Liverpool’s under-23 squad from next term.

Meanwhile, the Merseysider’s are currently preparing for their crucial UEFA Champions League final encounter against La Liga giants Real Madrid at the end of the month in Kiev.

Liverpool have been in great form in the Champions League this term and have beaten top sides like Manchester City, FC Porto, and AS Roma on their way to the finals.
