Chelsea Set To Move For £56m-rated High Priority Target

Chelsea are preparing a summer move for Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to reports in Chile.

Reports in the Chilean newspaper El Mercurio claim that Blues boss Antonio Conte has been given the green light to sign the former Juve midfielder and has already contacted him via phone to hold initial talks for a potential move to West London.

It is also understood that the hierarchy at the Stamford Bridge have agreed for proposed deal for Vidal and negotiations are expected to start ahead of a summer transfer window.

Bayern Munich are believed to value the Chilean midfielder at £56 million despite paying half of that to sign him from Juventus two years ago.

Antonio Conte is said to be eyeing a reunion with Vidal after spending three seasons together, winning three Serie A titles.

There are reports that Vidal have started receiving English lessons ahead of his potential move to the Premier League leader.

Conte had earlier admitted he will welcome the idea of working with the 29-year-old midfielder.

‘He has extraordinary physical and technical attributes, if I get to coach him a little more it’d be fantastic,’ said the former Italy boss.

‘I want him in all my teams.’
