Chelsea set to lose Alvaro Morata to Real Madrid

According to reports, Chelsea summer signing Alvaro Morata is set to seal a move back to La Liga Champions Real Madrid, especially if manager Antonio Conte ends up taking the Real Madrid manager’s job.

The Italian has done so well in his time in the Premier League winning the English top flight title in his first season in charge of the Stamford Bridge club and is now thought to be among the managers lined up to replace French tactician Zinedine Zidane at the Santaigo Bernabeu.

This is as per Diario Gol, who reported that Alvaro Morata could also be willing to return to Real, a side he still admirer.

The Spaniard made his senior team breakthrough with the Spanish side before a spell at Serie A side Juventus, though he went back for a second spell at Real Madrid last term.

Still, the striker moved to Stamford Bridge due to lack of regular football this season, and he has made a good start with Chelsea, netting 10 goals in his first 20 matches.

Given Frenchman Karim Benzema’s poor run of form this season, Real Madrid must regret losing Alvaro Morata as an option in attack, but it looks like a third spell for the striker at his former side cannot be entirely ruled out.
