Chelsea and Arsenal battle for the signature of this highly-rated Brazilian forward – report

According to reports in the British press, Chelsea and Arsenal both want to land Watford attacker Richarlison next summer transfer window.

The Sun is claiming that the two London outfits could be ready to do battle in the race to land the 20-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder, who has been in great shape for Watford this campaign.

Richarlison has netted five goals and provided four assists in 23 English Premier League matches for Watford so far this campaign and has been quite impressive during his early months in the Premier League.

The same report now states that both London rivals are considering submitting bids for Richarlison as they attempt to strengthen their attacking line in the summer.

Both clubs are likely to be in search for good reinforcements in the off-season, with both English Premier League clubs having lost out in the title race.

The Blues’ struggles up front recently have not gone unnoticed, with the reigning League Champions having to settle for a third successive 0-0 draw in all competitions last Saturday by Leicester City.

Meanwhile, it’s been a terrible start to the year for Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, with the Emirates club currently eight adrift the top four after their disappointing 2-1 defeat to AFC Bournemouth on Sunday.
