Europa League finalists Chelsea are set to open contract talks with young winger Callum Hudson-Odoi who has just one year left on his current deal at the club.

This is according to widespread reports emanating from the media in the United Kingdom.

Chelsea are desperate to hand him a new deal to prevent him from leaving the club this summer amidst intense interest from clubs like Liverpool.

Champions League finalists Liverpool have been mentioned as one of the teams keen on his transfer this summer.

The German duo of Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are also interested in the player especially the Bavarian giants.

Bayern had several bids turned down for Callum Hudson-Odoi in January as Chelsea were unshaken in their quest not to sell the young England international.

The Bavarian giants had as many as five bids rejected by Chelsea for Hudson-Odoi who also submitted a transfer request that was rejected by senior club officials.

Chelsea had suspended new contract talks with the player earlier this season but the Blues are poised to start the talks again.

According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are ready to hand Callum Hudson-Odoi the number 10 jersey presently won by star player Eden Hazard.

Hudson-Odoi will be given that jersey for next season with Eden Hazard poised to join Real Madrid.
