Premier League heavyweights Chelsea have allegedly turned down a £50million bid from La Liga giants Barcelona for Brazil international winger Willian.
Agent in Spain for talks
As per the Mail, the 29-year-old’s agent have been in the Spanish City of Barcelona and had held talks with Club chiefs.
But the Blues are believed to have no interest in permitting the flying winger to leave Stamford Bridge.
The Catalan giants won a Spanish LaLiga and Spanish Copa del Rey double last term, almost finishing the league unbeaten doing that, however, head coach Ernesto Valverde still appears to have worries surrounding his team’s depth and attack.
Attacking reinforcement needed at Camp Nou
This was revealed during their UEFA Champions League quarter-final loss to Serie A side AS Roma.
Barcelona sees the Chelsea star as someone who can add quality to their attacking line and want the wide man to link up with Philippe Coutinho, following the exit of Spain international creative midfielder Andres Iniesta.
Premier League side Manchester United have also shown an interest in the talented winger and attempted to bring him to Old Trafford in January, however, this switch was resisted by the Stamford Bridge outfit while he was in a good run of form for the Blues.
