Arsenal to swoop for 18-year-old sensation to solve defensive crisis

It would not be out of place to claim that the North London outfit Arsenal are dipped in a defensive crisis especially after they conceded over 50 goals in the close of the just concluded season.

This, therefore, calls for attention as the summer transfer window is close to being opened with manager Unai Emery seeking to land French Ligue 1 outfit Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba to solve the entire crisis in the coming season.

William Saliba is only 18 but he has proven to have big qualities to be able to manage the Arsenal defence in the coming season. As a result of his big show in the French Ligue 1, he has been tipped to be the next Raphael Varane.

The 18-year-old only had his breakthrough to the first team this season with just 16 league appearances to his name but that has been enough to convince most top European sides of his ability on the pitch.

Goal.com, therefore, reports that the Gunners boss Unai Emery has identified William Saliba as one of the players that would be coming in to take charge of the defence in the coming season.

Meanwhile, the Gunners have learned that they will have to face competition from Man United for the signature of William Saliba.
