According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton are prepared to test Arsenal’s resolve over the futures of Olivier Giroud and England international Danny Welbeck, with the Merseysider’s prepared to approach the North Londoners for the pair in January.
The 30-year-old Giroud, had been targeted by the Toffees before, with news outlet the Sun claiming a £40million offer was to be made by the Merseyside club for the forward in the summer, however Ronald Koeman’s team failed to seal a transfer for the Frenchman as reported by the Liverpool Echo, however it now seems like the Gunners are to be approached once again later in January, with the Toffees interested in taking more than one Arsenal star this time.
As per the Liverpool Echo, the Toffees are also in the hunt for Danny Welbeck, who joined the Gunners from Manchester United for £16million back in 2014 as reported by the BBC, as they look to attempt and replace Belgium international striker Romelu Lukaku, who they sold to the Jose Mourinho’s team this past summer.
England international striker Danny Welbeck has been negotiating deals with Arsene Wenger’s team over a new deal at the Emirates Stadium, however, should negotiations stall between both parties, the Toffees would be waiting in order to seal a move for the 26-year-old, as reported by the Liverpool Echo, after failing to force through with their approach £30million transfer for the player over the summer transfer window, as per the Sun.
