Arsenal prepare summer move to make 26-year-old first summer signing

According to reports, Arsenal are preparing a summer swoop to land Jean-Michael Seri from Ligue 1 side Nice.

Arsenal identify Seri as a prime target

The Daily Mail is claiming that Arsenal have singled out Seri as one of their top targets this summer transfer window as they bid to assemble a team capable of winning the title next season.

The same report says that an overhaul is expected at the Emirates this summer window, with manager Unai Emery having been named as the club’s new head coach.

As per the same article, Unai Emery tried to sign the 26-year-old for Paris Saint-Germain in the winter, and he will now attempt once again after he was named Arsenal boss on Wednesday.

Gunners to activate his release clause

The report also suggests that Seri has a buyout clause of £35million included in his deal at Nice, and that he is also attracting numerous interest from top clubs like Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund.

The same article says that Unai Emery is getting prepared to “revamp” the Gunners team as he prepares to take the gunners to greater heights post-Arsene Wenger era.

The North London giant will be looking to break back into the Premier League top four next term after their disappointing sixth position finish in the League this season.
