He is definitely leaving; Arsenal place £50 million on 28-year-old as rivals prepare January bid

According to latest reports, Arsenal are set to sell star forward Alexis Sanchez to Premier League rivals Manchester City in the winter transfer window if they get a bid of £50million or more.

The Chilean international attacker came close to departing the club on transfer deadline day during the last summer, though BBC Sport claim that the transfer broke down late on as manager the Gunners could not bring in a replacement.

As per the Independent, Arsenal’s opportunity has not really changed, with Arsene Wenger ready to do business if the appropriate bid is made – and about £50million should be good.

The publication suggests Manchester City to plan to return for Sanchez, who has down the years been one of the best-attacking players in Europe despite yet to hit top shape this season.

The former Barcelona star would fit in well in this Manchester City attack, with former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola already having fun with the likes of Sterling, Sane and Belgian Kevin De Bruyne in scintillating form this year.

The Citizens look well on their way to securing the English Premier League title – something the Chilean has never come close to winning in his three seasons at the Emirates.
