Deal Almost Agreed! Bundesliga club set to bring back Chelsea star on loan

Baba Rahman

German Bundesliga side Schalke have revived their interest in securing the signature of Chelsea star Baba Rahman on another loan deal in the New Year after having the defender on-loan last campaign.

Schalke sporting director Christian Heide, has given a major hint that the team will make a transfer move for the Ghanian when the transfer window reopens.

During his playing time with the German side last term, Rahman did pretty well but saw his time cut short by an injury which was sustained on international duty in last January.

The Chelsea defender is still out injured after completing his rehabilitation back at Stamford Bridge and is expected to return for the New Year.

Talking to Revier Sports, Christian Heide confirmed that the Ghana international full-back is ready to help the team in the second stanza of the league season.

Playing opportunities have been hard to come by for the 22-year-old full back at Stamford Bridge as he has played just 15 matches after joining the side in 2015 and it seems likely that he will be permitted to leave in the New Year, provided that he is completely fit and prepared to play football competitively once again.

The Blues are in the market for another left full-back to give Marcus Alonso a run for his starting shirt.
